The Smith Family Trust provides scholarships to students who attended a public high school in the city of Merced for a minimum of three years and lived in Merced County during the period of attendance.
Carefully review the eligibility criteria and application requirements for each of the following:
- Virginia Smith Trust (VST) Scholarship
- Cyril Smith Trust (CST) Scholarship
- VST Grant for High School Seniors (only high school seniors may apply)
Deadline
Applications will only be accepted online at: https://smithtrust.scholarshipsplatform.com/
The 2025-26 VST & CST Scholarship Applications are available now.
The application deadline for the VST and CST scholarships is March 3, 2025.
The application deadline for the VST Grant is January 13, 2025.
Virginia Smith Trust Scholarship
Eligible students of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for the Virginia Smith Trust.
Cyril Smith Trust Scholarship
Eligible students of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for the Cyril Smith Trust.
VST Grant for High School Seniors
Eligible Merced County high school students are encouraged to apply for the VST Grant.
