The Smith Family Trust provides scholarships to students who attended a public high school in the city of Merced for a minimum of three years and resided in Merced County during that time.
Please carefully review the eligibility criteria and application requirements for each scholarship:
- Virginia Smith Trust (VST) Scholarship
- Cyril Smith Trust (CST) Scholarship
- VST Grant for High School Seniors (only high school seniors may apply)

Virginia Smith Trust Scholarship
Eligible students of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for the Virginia Smith Trust.
Cyril Smith Trust Scholarship
Eligible students of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for the Cyril Smith Trust.
VST Grant for High School Seniors
Eligible Merced County high school students are encouraged to apply for the VST Grant.
